I am an Italian photographer, based in London. I combine photography and sculpture in a practice that has ambiguity in its core. My work balances on the edge between real and unreal, forged and original reflecting on the intrinsic tendency of contemporary culture to staging.
With my practice I explore the complex and problematic relationship between representation and perception, artificial and natural. I am fascinated by the non-correspondence between reality and what has been constructed as a cultural product, when a narrative disconnects itself from the reality and becomes a new story.
Vocationally eclectic, I have both a degree in sociology and a diploma in film direction. I have worked for years as a film editor, graphic designer and art director, both as a freelancer and in advertising agencies. Recently I decided to focus on photography as my sole creative outlet and I gained an MA in photography at LCC in 2015.
