Information

Structural Accidents is a series of handmade silver gelatin prints freely inspired by Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities. Sitting at the edge of photography, they feature abstract and enigmatic shapes that evoke unusual structures.

Despite their seemingly strange appearance, the pictures portray temporary but simple three-dimensional constructions made from basic materials such as Styrofoam, tape, or plastic. The process of creating the structures is based on a combination technique, in which materials are constantly dismantled and rearranged, reflecting the process of creating a new world from the scraps of reality.
